Shirley Butts, age 84, of Nicholls, Ga, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2024, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on May24, 1939, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edison and Oleta Walker.

Her survivors include: One son; Eddie (Laura) Butts of Nicholls, GA, One Daughter; Dr. Sandra Reed and Dr. Len Lichtenfeld of Atlanta, GA, Five Grandchildren; Amanda (Tommy) Behr, Elyse (Nick) Blackwell, Edyn (Clay) McKinnon, Katelyn (Rusty) Reitz, and Carter (Susan) Reed, Three Step-Grandchildren; Tucker (Megan) Bennett, Taylor (Lauren) Bennett, and Tana (Jamie) Smith, Three Sisters; Jerri Williams, Janice Barnett, and Deleta (Nathan) Henderson, Two Brothers; Ronnie (Betty) Walker, and Tommy Walker, Fourteen Great-Grandchildren, along with Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by: Her Beloved Husband; Edward Butts, Father; Edison Walker, and Mother; Oleta Walker.

The family will receive friends at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Satilla Memorial Gardens, at 11:00AM, with Rev. Randy McQuaig and Rev. Walt DeLoach officiating. Interment will follow at Satilla Memorial Gardens.

Active Pallbearers will include; Mark Walker, Bartan Walker, Rusty Reitz, Nick Blackwell, Clay McKinnon, Tommy Behr and Carter Reed.

Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
