Ms. Jackie Douglas Knight, age 83, of Nicholls, Georgia passed away Monday, March 18, 2024 at her residence following a lengthy illness. Ms. Knight was born July 28, 1940 in Nicholls, Georgia to the late Archie Douglas and the late Irene Taylor Douglas. She made her career as a medical technician and worked for many years with Coffee Regional Medical Center prior to her retirement. Ms. Knight loved her dogs and her flowers and spent many hours loving on her fur babies. She was of the Baptist faith. Along with her parents, Ms. Knight was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Archie Douglas, Jr., Sammy Daniel Douglas; one sister, Opal Mae Douglas Cole; and special fur baby, Bella.
Ms. Knight is survived by her 2 sons: Bryant Knight and Douglas Knight, both of Nicholls, Georgia; brother, William “Bill” Douglas of Texas; grandson, Camber Knight; and special fur baby, Cleo. A number of nieces, nephews and extended family also survive.
Memorialization will be by cremation and a family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
