Mrs. Geneva Kirkland Sears, age 95, of Willacoochee, Georgia passed away peacefully at her residence Tuesday evening, March 19, 2024 following an extended illness. She was born March 15, 1929 in Coffee County, Georgia to the late David Kirkland, Jr. and the late Ann Jane Ricketson Kirkland. She was the wife of the late Hiram Curtis Sears. Mrs. Sears worked for many years with B. C. Moore’s but her greatest enjoyment came from farming, working in her garden and cutting her own grass. Mrs. Sears was of the Holiness Baptist faith and served the Lord as an active member of Chatterton Holiness Baptist Church for many years. Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Elmer, Willis, Aleph, Oleph, Lennie, Osborn, Sarah, Ethel, and Barbara.

Mrs. Sears is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael Olen and Debbie Ellis Sears of Willacoochee, Georgia; 3 grandchildren: Michael Curtis and Shelby Sears, Mathew Dustin and Blair Sears, Melaina Sears Nall and Lake Nall, all of Willacoochee, Georgia; great grandchildren: Maylee, Avaleigh, Maveric, Gennie Rae; brother-in-law, Huey and Shirlene Sears of Willacoochee, Georgia, and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mrs. Sears’ family will receive friends Saturday morning, March 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel with her funeral beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. Rob Merritt and Rev. Daniel Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Chatterton Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be: Michael C. Sears, Matthew Sears, Lake Nall, Don Anderson, Tim Anderson and Huey Underhill. Honorary pallbearers will include: her Chatterton Holiness Baptist Church family, Marleny Underhill, Nick Rodriguez, and B. J. Sears.

Condolences may be left for the family at www.ricketsonfuneralhome.com.

Ricketson Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements.
