Mrs. Willie Jane Williams, age 75, of Douglas, Georgia passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 19, 2024 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born November 20, 1948 in Broxton, Georgia to the late George Stapleton and the late Willa Dean Taylor Stapleton. Mrs. Williams married the late Buddy Williams and spent her life caring for others as a homemaker, raising her children and loving on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to cook and feed people. She made her career with the Coffee County Board of Education feeding thousands of Coffee County children through the many years that she worked in the lunchroom. Mrs. Williams loved her Lord and Savior and was an active member of Heaven Bound Ministries. Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a special daughter-in-law, Anita F. Williams.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her children: Edison Williams, Melba Rhoden, Wayne (Gail) Williams, Martha (Erick) Dibble, Ronnie Aaron Sherrod, Wesley (Courtney) Sherrod, David Jewell; 38 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; sister, Glenda Taylor; special friend, Jackie Zanders; special niece, Latisha Nicole Zanders Martinez; along with a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mrs. Williams’ family will receive friends on Thursday evening, March 21, 2024 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Ricketson Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Friday morning, March 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Ricketson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Edison Williams officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation.

Active pallbearers will be: Bobby Taylor, Sherman Taylor, Taylor Jewell, Clint Williams, Max Duque, and Tyler Dibble.
