Edgar David Ellis, age 72, of Douglas, GA passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024 at Emory Midtown Medical Center in Atlanta, GA following an extended illness. Mr. Ellis was born on November 13, 1951, in Coffee County, GA, to the late Edgar Aaron Ellis and Mary Lizzie Howe Ellis.

Survivors include: His Wife; Let Let Ellis of Douglas, GA, and One Brother; Bobby (Barbara) Ellis of Marietta, GA. Mr. Ellis was preceded in death by One Brother; Joe Howe.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM, at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 11:00AM at St. Paul’s Catholic Church with Father Vernon Knight officiating. Interment will follow the service at Pridgen Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be: Kenny Brigmond, Sean Brigmond, Steven Ellis, George Boyd, Doug Pridgen, Billy Joiner, James Griffin, and Keven Howe.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
