Jessie Mae Vickers, age 88, of Ambrose, GA, passed away at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, GA, on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, following an extended illness. She was born on March 9, 1935, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom and Lavada Wooten.
Her survivors include: Two Sons; Dudley (Mary) Vickers of Ambrose, GA, and Wesley (Darlene) Vickers of Ambrose, GA, Two Daughters; Debbie (Johnny Mac) Haskins of Douglas, GA, Donna (William) Cady of Ambrose, GA, Nine Grandchildren; Adabeth Elrod, Jessica (Nick) Harper, Ada (Alan) Harper, Danielle (Mark) Courson, Trey (Priscilla) Cady, Bryan (Heather) Vickers, Bridgette (Mardy) Mercer, Andrew (Cristal) Vickers, Austin Vickers, Ali (Jack) Cunningham, and Vada (Cody) Reid, Fifteen Great-Grandchildren, One Brother; Carl Wooten, along with several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by; Her Beloved Husband; Orvis Vickers, Four Brothers; Joe Wooten, Tom Wooten Jr., Charlie Wooten, and Leon Wooten, and One Sister; Lillian Bryan.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 12:00PM until 1:30PM at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA.
Graveside services will be held at Mt. Union Baptist Church in Ambrose, GA, at 2:00PM, with Rev. Walt DeLoach and Rev. George Carroll Paulk officiating.
Active Pallbearers will include: Austin Vickers, Andrew Vickers, Bryan Vickers, Mardy Mercer, Nick Harper, Alan Harper, Jack Cunningham, and Cody Reid.
