TROJANS TAKE THIRD AT VIDALIA TRACK MEET

The Coffee High Trojans traveled to Vidalia High School on March 21 to attend the Indian Invitational. Brantley County, Jenkins County, Metter, Montgomery County, Portal and Vidalia High School were in attendance. The Trojans and Lady Trojans finished third overall in the team standings for the meet. The Coffee High Trojans will travel to Lowndes County for the Hiram Johnson 6th Annual Underclassman Invitational on March 27, 2024. Hiram Johnson is a retired coach/teacher from Lowndes County. Mr. Johnson is a former graduate of George Washington High School and resident of Coffee County.

Here are the first place finishers: Iyani Johnson finished with a 27.25 seconds in the 200 meter dash for a new personal record. Junior Travis Adams competed in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.85 seconds for a new season record. Senior Will Bagwell ran a 10 minute and 53 seconds in the 3200 meter run. Sophomore Kenyon Livingston competed in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 16.72 seconds for a new personal record. Freshman Kashariyona White completed the 300 meter hurdles in 49.15 seconds. Cumberland University commit Tyriq Edwards cleared 41 feet and 3 inches in the triple jump. Junior Tyrese Hansley set a new personal record in the discus clearing 138 feet and 5 inches.

Second place finishers: Sophomore Josie Lott ran 6 minutes and 22 seconds in the 1600 meter run. Josie ran 13 minutes and 46 seconds in the 3200 meter run. Sophomore Liam LeBrocq ran 11 minute and 28 seconds in the 3200 meter run. Freshman JD Moore cleared 20 feet and 5 inches in the long jump for a new personal record. The Lady Trojan 4X400 meter relay team of Ella Edge, L’Kia Wilson, Madisyn Turner, and Anna Lee Osteen ran 4 minutes and 48 seconds.

Third place finishers: Senior Iyani Johnson ran a 13.19 in the 100 meter dash. Will Bagwell ran 4 minutes and 57 seconds in the 1600 meter run for a season best record. Kashariyona White ran a 16.41 in the 100 meter hurdles for a new personal record. James Jarrard ran 16.81 seconds in the 110 meter hurdles. Freshman Kanlon Styles 51.88 seconds in the 300 meter hurdles. Tyriq Edwards cleared 20 feet and 2 inches in the long jump. The Lady Trojan 4X200 meter relay freshman team of Ella Edge, L’Kia Wilson, Kaloni Styles and Kashariyona White ran a 1:54.25.
