Mrs. Nadine Burnam Lewis, age 87, of Douglas, Georgia passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, March 30, 2024 at her residence surrounded by loved ones. Mrs. Lewis was born October 31, 1936, in Douglas, GA to the late Kight Burnam and the late Estelle Batten Burnam. She made her career as a bookkeeper with Johnny Morris and Morris Oil Company. Along with her parents, Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Ralph Y. Lewis, and a son, Ralph Larry Lewis; 3 brothers: Jack Burnam, Homer Burnam and Waverly Burnam and 1 sister Edith Burnam Norton.

Mrs. Lewis was a lifelong member of Sand Hill Baptist Church. She was faithful to attend her church and she loved her Lord and Savior with all her heart. She was a dedicated member of the Coffee Regional Medical Center Ladies Auxiliary for a number of years.

Mrs. Lewis is survived by her children: Teresa Lynn Lewis of Douglas, Georgia and Jonathan Lewis of Douglas, Georgia; one granddaughter Brooke Lewis of Douglas and 1 daughter-in-law, Linda Lewis of Douglas, GA.

Mrs. Lewis’ family will receive friends Monday, April 1, 2024, at Sand Hill Baptist Church from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM with Rev. Glen Waters officiating. The interment will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery.

Active pallbearers for the service will be Bobby Tanner, Billy Tanner, Benny Tanner, Randy Miller, Andy Holton, Tom Meeks and Tim Meeks.

Condolences may be left for the family at www.ricketsonfuneralhome.com.
