he Coffee High Trojans competed in the Hiram Johnson Underclassmen Invitational on March 28, 2024. This meet is for 8th grade through tenth grade student athletes. This allows the younger athletes to shine against athletes closer to their own age and assist in developing stronger track teams. Another significant reason is to recognize Coach Hiram Johnson who graduated from George Washington Carver High Schools in Coffee County. Coach Johnson has retired from the Lowndes County School System completing forty years in education and coaching football and track.
The Lady Trojans claimed second place out of 8 schools. The Lady Trojans scored 99 points in their efforts. The Lady Trojans swept the 100 meter hurdles taking the top three spots. Kashariyoni White ran a 17.94 seconds, Kaloni Styles ran a 18.84 seconds, and Carrdreal Cinnamon Pearson finished third with a time of 19.11 seconds.
First place finishes: Kashariyona White cleared 34 feet and 5 inches in the triple jump.
Second place finishes: Kenyon Livingston competed in the 110 meters hurdles in 16.36 seconds. Josiah McRae cleared 5 feet and 8 inches in the high jump. Ensley Crawford ran 2:40.13 in the 800 meter run. Kashariyoni White ran a 50.93 seconds in the 300 meter hurdles. Madison Turner cleared 15 feet and 9 inches in the long jump.
Third place finishes: Dillon Yarberry finished the 1600 meter run in 5:29.91. Kenyon Liningston finished the 300 meter hurdles in 43.78 seconds. Coffee Trojan 4X100 meter relay team of Bobby Reyonlds, JD Moore, Amir McElhaney, and Cedric McRae in 45.0 seconds. Denise Perez ran a 6:57.87 in the 1600 meter run. Kaloni Styles ran 51.75 seconds in the 300 meter hurdles. Sareia Littles had a throw of 27 feet and 1 inch in the shot put.
