Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bryan Preston, Jr. of Douglas, Georgia are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Chelsea Ann, to Colby Taylor Graham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Thomas Graham, also of Douglas.

Miss Preston is the maternal granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell DeLoyd Bryant of Douglas.  She is the paternal granddaughter of Mrs. Janice Pope Preston and the late Mr. Thomas Bryan Preston, Sr. also of Douglas.

Miss Preston is a 2014 graduate of Coffee High School, and went on to attend South Georgia State College before transferring her studies to Valdosta State University. During her time at Valdosta State, Miss Preston was an active member of Kappa Delta Sorority- Gamma Mu Chapter, and the Public Relations Student Society of America, while also completing an internship at the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce. She graduated from Valdosta State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations in December of 2018 before returning home to Douglas to begin her career. Miss Preston currently serves our community as the Member Relations Director at the Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce, and she proudly presides as a Trustee on the South Georgia State College Foundation Board.

Mr. Graham is the maternal grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Jordan Taylor of Douglas, Georgia. He is the paternal grandson of Mrs. Thada Corbitt Graham, and the late Mr. Charles Graham, Sr., of Pearson, Georgia.

Mr. Graham is a 2013 graduate of Irwin County High School.  Upon his completion, he went on to work alongside his father at Pittman Pump and Well-Drilling, where he spent over a decade perfecting his skills in the water well-drilling and pump service industry.  Switching his focus over the years to mechanics and heavy-equipment operations, Mr. Graham is now proudly employed as a Supervisor for the Irwin County Road Department.

Both Miss Preston and Mr. Graham currently attend First Baptist Church of Douglas where they first met over a decade ago.

The couple will be united in holy matrimony on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at three o’clock in the afternoon at First Baptist Church of Douglas, with Dr. E. Donald Hattaway, Pastor of First Baptist Church of Douglas, presiding. Immediately following the ceremony, the couple will join their guests in celebration at Douglas Golf and Country Club.
