One man is in custody and another is wanted by authorities in connection with a brazen homicide that took place in Homerville on Sunday, April 14, 2024.

GBI agents have arrested and charged Phillip White, age 33, of Homerville, with Aggravated Assault in connection to the death of Raheem Poole, age 25, of Homerville. Agents have also taken arrest warrants on Shea Foster, age 19, of Homerville, for Felony Murder and Aggravated Assault. Foster is not in custody. Authorities believe he may still be in Homerville or he may have traveled to Jacksonville, FL.

The Homerville Police Department requested the GBI to investigate the death of Poole after they received a 911 call at about 11:50 a.m., on Sunday, April 14, 2024, about a shooting near Happyville Lane and Old Fargo Road. Officers responded and found Poole dead from suspected gunshot wounds. He had been killed around 11:50 a.m. in a family member’s front yard. As a result of the investigation, White was charged for assaulting Foster prior to the shooting. He was later taken into custody without incident.
