Wiregrass Georgia Technical College President DeAnnia Clements is excited to share that the college’s enrollment has increased by 11.7% this Spring 2024 Semester compared to the Spring 2023 Semester.  This marks the seventh straight semester the college has seen an increase in enrollment compared to the previous year.  Fall 2023 Semester’s enrollment increased 9.6% compared to the Fall 2022 Semester.

“We are excited to see these increases and are preparing now for continued increase in the number of students,” shared President Clements.  “We are consistently looking to see what other programs are needed by the businesses and industries in our 11-county service area or programs that we can offer on additional campuses to meet the demand.”  Wiregrass works to stay on top of industry needs by preparing graduates to be able to meet the increasing changes and demands in the workplace.

Beginning Fall 2024 Semester, the college will offer the new Medical Laboratory program on the Valdosta Campus and the Associate of Science in Nursing (RN) on the Ben Hill-Irwin Campus. The college will accept new students in Commercial Truck Driving on the Valdosta and Coffee Campuses, and Automotive and Industrial Systems Technology on the Ben Hill-Irwin Campus.  The college will be waiving application fees for those who apply during the week of June 10- 14 for the Fall Semester.  Fall Classes start August 12.  Summer Semester Express term begins on June 4 and ideal for college students who are coming home for the summer and need to pick up a core class or two. If you are interested in a personal tour of the campus please contact Recruitment at recruitment@wiregrass.edu.
