The Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce celebrated a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the grand opening of 803 Salon & Head Spa. Owned and operated by Douglas native and Master Cosmetologist, Jennifer Miss, the salon promises a blend of expertise, innovation, and relaxation for its patrons.

Jennifer Miss brings over 18 years of mastery in the cosmetology realm to her latest venture, radiating excitement for the journey ahead. Nestled conveniently at 619 N. Peterson Avenue in Douglas, just across from Badcock Home Furnishings and Hungry Howie’s Pizza, 803 Salon & Head Spa stands as a beacon of rejuvenation and self-care in the community.

At the heart of the salon’s offerings are Jennifer’s specialties: hair color, haircuts, and facial waxing services. However, the true gem in the crown is the introduction of a novel service to Douglas and Coffee County—a head spa. This unique experience, helmed by the skilled hands of Mary Hayes, Master Cosmetologist, delves deep into scalp cleansing, alleviating concerns such as dandruff and hair thinning, all while providing a blissful massage-like encounter that targets pressure points for ultimate relaxation.

Chelsea Graham, the Chamber’s Member Relations Director, set the stage with a warm welcome and background on Jennifer’s entrepreneurial journey. Pastor Don Hattaway of First Baptist Church of Douglas graced the occasion with a heartfelt invocation and blessing, infusing the proceedings with a sense of communal support and goodwill.

The event also saw esteemed voices from the community, including Ben Floyd, Chair of the Chamber Board, Mayor Tony Paulk—who added his trademark humor to the affair—and Megan Rabun, Executive Director of the Downtown Development Authority, sharing in the celebration of this significant addition to Douglas’s landscape.

Jennifer Miss, moved by the outpouring of support, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to all attendees, reflecting on the profound significance of this milestone in her life. Surrounded by the warmth of family, friends, and community leaders, Jennifer ceremoniously cut the ribbon, signifying the official opening of 803 Salon & Head Spa.

As the doors swing open to welcome patrons old and new, 803 Salon & Head Spa stands poised to become a cherished hub of beauty, relaxation, and community spirit in Douglas and beyond.

803 Salon & Head Spa is located at 619 N. Peterson Avenue here in Douglas, and they can be reached at 912-592-9016.
