Michael and Angela Booth of Douglas, Georgia are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Madeline (Maddie) Mikayla to Lucas (Luke) Killian McCarty, son of Danny and Amanda McCarty, also of Douglas and Jamie and Amy Robillard of Davenport, Florida.
Maddie is a 2020 graduate of Coffee High School and went on to attend South Georgia State College (SGSC) and competed on their swim team before transferring to Kennesaw State College. She graduated from Kennesaw State College in 2023 as Cum Laude with her Bachelors of Arts in Business Management. While attending Coffee High she participated in the STEAM internship program and worked in the business office of Surcheros and continued her employment with the Surcheros while attending SGSC. During her senior year at KSU, she returned to the Surcheros business office as part of her internship with the College of Business at KSU. Upon graduation, she returned to the business office of Surcheros where she currently serves as an administrative assistant.
Luke is a 2020 graduate of Coffee High School and went on to attend South Georgia State College (SGSC) and competed on their swim team before transferring to Kennesaw State College and then Georgia Southern. Luke is currently a senior at Georgia Southern and will graduate in May of 2025 with his Bachelor’s of Science in Construction Engineering and is currently employed at TJ Maxx as a backroom coordinator.
The couple will be united in holy matrimony on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at six thirty in the evening at the Peach Barn at Timbermill Acres with Dr. Jonathan McDuffie, Student Pastor of First Baptist Church of Douglas, presiding. Immediately following the ceremony, the celebration reception will continue at the Peach Barn.
