Mr. and Mrs. Joel Scholten of Broxton, GA are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Anna Grace Scholten to Ronald “Chance” Wiggins, son of Scott and Kelley Wiggins also of Broxton, GA.
Anna Grace is the Maternal granddaughter of Mrs. Emily Hunter Ragsdale and the late Cleveland Comer Ragsdale of Douglas. She is the paternal granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Scholten of Boyden, IA.
Anna Grace is a 2020 Graduate of Coffee High School and a 2023 graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, AL, where she graduated with highest honors of Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelors of Science. In her time at Samford, she was a proud member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority- Kappa Chapter. She has been accepted to the University of Alabama at Birmingham Optometry School (UABSO) and will begin the program in August of 2024. She will obtain her Doctor of Optometry in 2028.
Chance is the maternal grandson of Bonnie Rowe of Broxton and Roger Wildes of Douglas. He is the paternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Wiggins of Douglas. Chance is a 2021 graduate of Citizens Christian Academy. He is currently a Senior at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton, GA. He will graduate in December of 2024 with his Bachelors in Agribusiness. Chance is currently interning at Lasseter Tractor Company in Douglas, GA.
The couple will be united in Holy Matrimony on Monday, December 23, 2024 at the Ocean Course on Kiawah Island, SC. The ceremony will be officiated by Reverend Clevey Ragsdale, Uncle of the Bride. Immediately following the ceremony, dinner and dancing will take place at the Ocean Course ClubHouse.
After the wedding the couple will reside in Birmingham, AL.
