The ONE Compelling Picture team began production on their latest film entitled “The Last Call – Because you Answered” earlier last week in Douglas. The production is advising members of the community to be advised that there will be a lane closure on Moseley Road near the Broxton city limits on June 25, 2024 beginning at 6 p.m. and ending at 10 p.m. They are cautioning travelers to take an alternative route if possible; those who must travel this way should be advised that beginning around 11 a.m. on Tuesday June 25, 2024, an overturned Jeep Cherokee will be placed off the road down an embankment; should you see this vehicle and production signs, please do not contact 911 to report this vehicle. This area will be used to stage a fatal car accident that will look real but is completely for the purpose of filmmaking.
Writer-director Sidney Bryant Sr. and ONE Compelling Picture (OCP) has set the cast for “The Last Call Because You Answered” and “The Voice – When Eyes Can’t See” his latest two films set for Amazon Prime and Tubi releases in 2025, the production company announced on Thursday June 6, 2024.
Sonya Moore-Roper and Dustilynn Vaughan, both members of the Douglas Coffee County community, will star in “The Last Call – Because You Answered.” Athena Gracen (Moore-Roper) is trapped in a car accident, frantically calling 911 for help. 911 dispatcher Cathy Willows (Vaughan) answers and listens as Athena shares her fears. Athena’s vulnerability deeply impacts Cathy, who is moved by her strength and resilience. In a moment of divine intervention, Athena’s words of faith and hope touch Cathy’s heart. As the rescue team arrives, Cathy sees this encounter as a reminder of God’s love in dark times. Athena becomes a beacon of hope, guiding others back to God’s love.
The release of this film, along with “Redwood,” the production shot in 2023, and their next film “When Eyes Can’t See,” will all be released via streaming platform in 2025. A local premiere weekend for all three films is slated to be held later this year. For more information you may contact producer Bryce Carver at 912-388-6310 or teamocp@compelinnerprovince.org.
