Wiregrass Georgia Technical College announces another opportunity to save money on application fees during the college’s second Free Application Week, July 15-19.  Those interested in applying for Fall Semester 2024 can apply online at Wiregrass.edu and save money.

Several new programs are starting for the Fall Semester.  The Valdosta Campus will offer Medical Laboratory Technology as a Degree program.  Students will learn to perform laboratory tests on bodily fluids and evaluate and correlate medical laboratory test results performed on patients.  This program would be a great program for Phlebotomists who would like to increase their skill level and education.

The well-established Associate of Science in Nursing program will now be offered on the Ben Hill-Irwin Campus starting this Fall Semester.  The application deadline for this program was the first of May.  Those interested in this program would want to get started on their core classes now. New students are also being accepted in Telecommunications and Security, Automotive Technology, and Industrial Systems Technology on the Ben Hill-Irwin Campus.

The Aircraft Assembly Technician I will start this Fall on the Coffee Campus.  This program can be completed in two semesters.  The curriculum includes structural fundamentals, blueprint reading, and aerodynamics.  The Commercial Truck Driving is also accepting new students for the Fall Semester and is only seven and a half weeks long.

There are over 100 programs that qualify for the HOPE Career Grant.  Those who qualify for the grant could qualify for additional monies to help pay tuition, books, and fees. Fall Semester classes will begin on August 12. The college’s One-Stop Enrollment and Success Center can answer questions and assist new students with class schedules.  To learn more information, visit the college’s website at www.wiregrass.edu.
