According to NursingProcess.org, the Wiregrass Georgia Technical College Practical Nursing (LPN) program is ranked as one of the top 10 Best in Georgia. The website shared that licensed practical nurses are in high demand. Their website is designed to help those interested in the field choose the best Practical Nursing program in the state.
Director of Practical Nursing Adrienne Young shared, “The Wiregrass Practical Nursing Program is proud to be recognized as the number six practical nursing program in Georgia. This impressive achievement is due to our faculty and students’ commitment and hard work. Their dedication to excellence ensures that Wiregrass continues to produce skillful and compassionate nurses who greatly impact the health and well-being of individuals in our communities.” Young was also named the 2024 Wiregrass Rick Perkins Instructor of the Year.
The program recently celebrated a 100% NCLEX pass rate on the following completed cohorts, Ben Hill-Irwin and Valdosta Campus Fall cohort. The Practical Nursing (LPN) program is offered on the Valdosta, Coffee, and Ben Hill-Irwin Campuses.
The college is accepting new students for Fall Semester 2024. One can apply online at Wiregrass.edu and Fall Semester classes begin on August 12, 2024.
