The Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce celebrated a significant milestone with a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new location of Georgia Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center’s Douglas office. This joyous event marked the latest chapter in the center’s long-standing commitment to the community, as they opened the doors to their beautifully renovated facility at 110 Bowens Mill Road.

Georgia Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center, a pillar in the field with 22 locations across Georgia, has been a proud part of the Douglas community for over 25 years. The center’s journey in Douglas began on Westside Drive, then moved to West Gordon Street, and has now found its new home just behind the previous office on Bowens Mill Road. The center continues to offer exceptional services in general dermatology, skin cancer treatment, surgical procedures, and cosmetics.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome and introduction from Chelsea Graham, Member Relations Director at the Chamber. Tanner Graham, a dedicated staff member at Georgia Dermatology, followed with a heartfelt blessing over the new establishment and the dedicated Douglas team.

Attendees were honored to hear congratulatory remarks from Ben Floyd, Chairman of the Chamber Board, and City of Douglas Mayor, Tony Paulk. Barry Stuart, Administrator for Georgia Dermatology, shared the rich history and impressive growth of the organization, highlighting the expansion and success of the Douglas location. He expressed deep gratitude to the staff and the Douglas-Coffee County community for their unwavering support.

Dr. Michael Sharkey, Practice Owner, spoke warmly about the welcoming nature of the community, emphasizing that the hometown environment of Douglas is a key element in their practice’s commitment to providing exceptional care. Both Hallie Brigmond, PA-C, and Deleice Carter, FNP-BC, local providers at the Douglas office, shared their personal and professional journeys with Georgia Dermatology. They expressed their gratitude for the family-like work environment, the opportunity to help design the new office, and the support from their families and the community.

Surrounded by their dedicated staff, friends, family, and community leaders, Hallie, Deleice, and Dr. Sharkey proudly cut the ribbon, officially opening their state-of-the-art facility. This new location marks a significant milestone in their ongoing mission to deliver top-notch dermatological care to the residents of Douglas and beyond.

For more information or to schedule an appointment, Georgia Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center can now be found at 110 Bowens Mill Rd in Douglas, and can be reached at 912-384-3204.
