The Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony yesterday to celebrate the grand opening of HomeTeam Orthodontics, located at 733 SW Bowens Mill Rd, Douglas, GA. Dr. Guess, a native of Douglas, GA, brings her expertise and passion for orthodontics back to her hometown.

Dr. Amanda Guess, who graduated from Coffee High School, pursued her higher education at the University of Georgia, where she excelled and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology summa cum laude. She continued her academic journey at the Medical College of Georgia, obtaining her DMD degree before completing a rigorous 30-month orthodontic residency at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. During her residency, she earned a Master of Science in Orthodontics and a certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

A dedicated member of the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the Southern Association of Orthodontics (SAO), Dr. Guess is committed to providing exceptional orthodontic care to the community. Alongside her husband Payton, Dr. Guess is proud to call Douglas home again, raising their four children: Collier, Adalyn, Aven, and Cambry.

HomeTeam Orthodontics, with locations in Douglas and Hazlehurst, GA, aims to deliver personalized orthodontic treatments in a welcoming environment. The ribbon-cutting ceremony marked a significant milestone for the practice, showcasing their commitment to enhancing smiles and oral health within the community.
