The City of Douglas encourages citizens to attend or join various city committees and boards. The Ethics Committee currently has vacant positions. If you are interested in volunteering for any of these boards, please call (912) 389-3405 or visit www.cityofdouglasga.gov.

The following is a list of August 2024 City of Douglas Boards and Committees meetings.

  • Air Base Preservation & Development  – August 12, 12PM, Airport, 440 Elton D. Brooks Blvd.
  • City Commission Work Session & Meeting – August 12 & 26, 6 PM, Commission Chambers, City Hall, 302 S. Madison Avenue.
  • Keep Douglas Beautiful – August 13, 9 AM, City Hall, 302 S. Madison Avenue.
  • Recreation Commission – August 13, 11:45 AM, Central Square Complex – Magnolia Meeting Room, 200 S. Madison Avenue.
  • Planning Commission – August 15, 6 PM, City Hall, 302 S. Madison Avenue.
  • Mayor’s Youth Council – August 20, 6 PM, City Hall, 302 S. Madison Avenue.
  • DDA Meeting – August 21, 8:30 AM, Chamber of Commerce, 114 N. Peterson Ave. Suite 205.
  • Veterans Park Committee – August 21, 10 AM, Douglas Municipal Airport, 440 Elton Brooks Blvd.
  • Historic Preservation Committee – August 22, 4PM Work Session/4:30PM Meeting, City Hall, 302 S. Madison Avenue.
