The City of Douglas encourages citizens to attend or join various city committees and boards. The Keep Douglas Beautiful Board and Ethics Committee currently have vacant positions. If you are interested in volunteering for any of these boards, please call (912) 389-3405 or visit www.cityofdouglasga.gov.

The following is a list of September 2024 City of Douglas Boards and Committees meetings.

  • City Commission Work Session & Meeting – September 9 & 23, 6 PM, Commission Chambers, City Hall, 302 S. Madison Avenue.
  • Keep Douglas Beautiful – September 10, 9 AM, City Hall, 302 S. Madison Avenue.
  • Recreation Commission – September 10, 11:45 AM, Central Square Complex – Magnolia Meeting Room, 200 S. Madison Avenue.
  • Airport Commission  – September 11, 12 PM, Airport, 440 Elton D. Brooks Blvd.
  • Land Bank Authority – September 12, 2 PM, City Hall, 302 S. Madison Avenue.
  • Mayor’s Youth Council – September 17, 6 PM, City Hall, 302 S. Madison Avenue.
  • DDA Meeting – September 18, 8:30 AM, Chamber of Commerce, 114 N. Peterson Ave. Suite 205.
  • Veterans Park Committee – September 18, 10 AM, Douglas Municipal Airport, 440 Elton Brooks Blvd.
