Weaving on a bicycle is a crime? Apparently so.

On September 14, 2024, at around 3:40 p.m., a Douglas police officer observed a female, identified as Claudean Williams, 45, of Douglas, allegedly failing to maintain her lane on a bicycle. According to a report from the Douglas Police Department, she was weaving back and forth across the entire road. The officer stopped her at the intersection of Spooner Road and Irma Avenue.

During the stop, the report says that Williams admitted that she had some crack. The officer field tested the substance and it was positive for crack cocaine. Williams was arrested and transported to the Coffee County Jail. She has since been released.
