From November 8-10, 2024, over 1,900 attendees from 146 schools across Georgia gathered for an unforgettable weekend at the annual Georgia TSA Fall Leadership Conference, themed ‘Lights! Camera! Lead!’ This event brought together students and advisors for a spectacular experience focused on leadership development, communication, and team-building skills.
Throughout the weekend, participants engaged in leadership development workshops, and informative technical sessions that explored what it truly means to lead and succeed in a technical world. The conference featured several signature events, including the VEX Robotics Tournament, the annual Armada Cardboard Boat Race, and The Island Video Contest. Participants also had the opportunity to showcase their knowledge of the organization by taking the Georgia TSA Statesman Exam.
The Coffee High School leadership team is composed of President Jude Carver, Vice President Joshua Cribb, Secretary Mylee Mills, Treasurer Logan Hardee, Reporter Owen Hill, and Sergeant at Arms Jovany Gomez.
The team of Joshua Cribb, Logan Hardee, and Jude Carver competed in the Armada cardboard boat race. The team won their heat amid tough competition.
The CHS robotics team competed and although they didn’t come out with a win, they gained valuable knowledge to become more competitive in the home tournament on November 16.
The leadership team and other student members would like to thank the following sponsors for supporting the team and allowing them to travel and compete against the best technology teams in the state: Bad Ash Motors, Three Pines Leasing, Renan De Amorim, Colony Bank, Rapid Lube, FNBCC, Pilgrims Pride, and Eagle Lake Bone Pickers.
