Two individuals on a four-wheeler, a 50-year-old and a 17-year-old, were arrested and jailed after they allegedly chased a car, struck the vehicle with the four-wheeler, fled the scene, and threatened the driver along the way.

According to a report from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place on December 14, 2024. The two suspects, identified as Michael Truesdell, 50, and Trevor Bell, 17, were on a four-wheeler stopped in the middle of Palmetto Road when a female driving a car with her child in the vehicle went around the four-wheeler. In the report, the victim stated that the individuals on the four-wheeler chased her down Palmetto Road and across the railroad tracks. The report says they hit the victim’s car with the four-wheeler then returned to another home on Palmetto Road. The report also says that during the incident, Truesdell yelled, “Bitch, I’ll kill you” and Bell shouted, “I’ll put a bullet in your dome.”

The victim’s car showed damage from being hit by the four-wheeler, the report says.

The report states that the deputy went to the location where Truesdell and Bell were. According to the report, Bell stated that he was the only one on the four-wheeler. The victim drove up behind him, the report states, then went around him. As she went around the four-wheeler, Bell said that she yelled at him. Bell stated that he then went home and did not leave. Both Bell and Truesdell stated in the report that there was another four-wheeler on Palmetto Road and that was the ATV that followed the victim. The report says that both suspects denied following the victim or threatening her.

The officer spoke with a witness who saw the incident take place. For the most part, the witness’s recollection of the incident matched that of the victim. The witness heard the people on the four-wheeler threaten the victim. In the report, the witness stated that he heard a male yell, “Bitch, I’ll kill you” but he wasn’t sure who said it.

The deputy spoke with Truesdell and Bell again. Initially, both maintained that Bell was the only one on the four-wheeler and he did not chase the victim, hit her car, or threaten her. The officer handcuffed Truesdell and placed him in the back of the patrol vehicle. Then, the report says, Bell finally admitted that both he and Truesdell were on the four-wheeler and they followed the victim to the location she was visiting. However, Bell still denied threatening her or hitting her vehicle.

Both Truesdell and Bell were arrested and charged with criminal trespass and terroristic threats and acts. They were transported to the Coffee County Jail and later released.
