Coffee County educator and artist Lee Mobley has added a new title to his resume: children’s book author. Mobley, who has served the Coffee County School System as a teacher, elementary principal, and currently as assistant superintendent, recently checked off a major bucket list item by publishing “This or That? Making Choices Every Day Helps Us Learn and Find Our Way.”

The book introduces young readers to the joy of decision-making through whimsical and imaginative scenarios. From choosing between “brushing the hair of a bear or sitting on an alligator chair” to “riding a mule to school or taking a shark to the pool,” Mobley’s playful rhymes and colorful illustrations encourage children to explore their creativity, laugh, and think critically about their choices.

“This book is about empowering kids to see the fun and adventure in making decisions,” said Mobley. “Every choice, no matter how silly or serious, helps kids learn more about themselves and the world around them.”

Beyond his role in education, Mobley is known for his love of creativity and service. He has painted murals in his hometown of Douglas and throughout South Georgia, brightening communities with his artistic talents. Whether leading schools or crafting imaginative stories, his passion for serving the students, teachers, and families of Coffee County shines through.

Mobley’s journey into writing stems from his lifelong love of storytelling and his dedication to making learning engaging and fun. “I’ve always enjoyed being creative, whether it’s through art or education,” he said. “Writing this book felt like the perfect way to combine those passions.”

This or That? is more than just a book — it’s a tool for parents and educators to spark conversations about decision-making and encourage children to embrace their imaginations. The book has already garnered praise for its engaging scenarios, which make it perfect for family story time or classroom discussions.

Lee Mobley’s work continues to reflect his deep commitment to education and the community. Whether he’s inspiring students through his leadership or engaging young minds with his imaginative stories, Mobley’s influence on Coffee County remains a testament to his dedication and creativity.

“This or That? Making Choices Every Day Helps Us Learn and Find Our Way” is now available for families, educators, and young readers looking to turn everyday choices into extraordinary adventures.
