The Coffee Lady Trojans scored 18 points against the Winder-Barrow Lady Bulldogs before Winder made a shot. The Lady Bulldogs scored 18 points in the whole game. It was that kind of domination for Coffee in the first round of the state playoffs. The Lady Trojans won 80-18.

Yes, you read that right. It’s not a misprint. Coffee won a postseason game by 62 points.

There’s not a lot to say. The Lady Trojans jumped out to an early lead, scored points in bunches, and used their lockdown defense to keep Winder-Barrow from mounting any kind of offense all night long.

Coffee led 44-10 at the half and 60-15 at the end of the third quarter. In the fourth period (which was shortened to 6:00 via mercy rule), the Lady Trojans outscored their opponents 20-3.

Lakener Edwards and Lexie Bradford led Coffee with 14 points each. Paris Riley scored 12 while Iryonnia Lewis and Aria Paulk scored 11 and 10 points each, respectively.

Things will get much tougher for the Lady Trojans on Friday night when they face New Manchester at the Coffee High School gym. New Manchester defeated Evans 64-48. DouglasNow will release details regarding the game once more information is released.

The Lady Trojans are now 27-1 on the season.
