Mr. Lonnie Crawford Myers, age 85, of Ambrose, Georgia passed away Friday morning, February 21, 2025 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Myers was born September 19, 1939 in Jeff Davis County, Georgia to the late Southern Edward “Coot” Myers and the late Minerva Johns Myers.  He made his career in as a stump remover for Hercules, Inc.  He was known for his ability to grow things and spent many hours working in his garden.  Outside of his gardening, he enjoyed fishing, but most of all he loved the Lord, and his family.

Mr. Myers is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Addie Mae Todd Myers of Ambrose, Georgia; daughters: Sharon Brown of Broxton, Georgia, Sandra Cole (Anthony Bowen) of Nicholls, Georgia, Sabrina Laster, of Douglas, Georgia, Breanna Youngblood (Clay Youngblood), of Douglas, Georgia, Haley Laster, of Douglas, Georgia; grandchildren: Candace Smith (Jeremy) of Douglas, Georgia, Blake Peagler (Haley), of Douglas, Georgia, KB Brown (Misty) of Nicholls, Georgia; great grandchildren: CJ Musgrove, Kara Beth Aldridge, Ashleigh and Adilynne Harrell, Nash and Slade Youngblood, Elizabeth and Isabelle Peagler, Ryland Merritt; siblings: Mildred Pelletier of Fernandina, Florida, Jeannette Thrift, of Hilliard, Florida, Jean Lewis of Hilliard, Florida, Carl Myers of McRae, Georgia, Geneva Lott of Douglas, Georgia; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Along with his parents, Mr. Myers was preceded in death by his only son, Lonnie Edward Myers; grandson, Carlton Eugene Musgrove, granddaughter, Heather KaLonnie Myers, great granddaughter, Harper Lynn Brown; sons-in-law: Kenny Brown, Richie Cole, Jimmy Laster; brothers: Vernon Myers, Lloyd Milton Myers, Robert Myers, Marvin Myers; Sisters: Ellen West and Linda Meeler.

Mr. Myers’ funeral service was held at 2:00 PM at Reedy Branch Church with Rev. B.J. Holliday officiating and musical selections were offered by Phillip Jowers.  Musical selections included “The Anchor Holds” and “Wings of a Dove” were rendered by Phillip Jowers, along with a song he wrote himself.  Prelude, postlude and piano accompaniment were rendered by Teresa Holliday.  Interment followed in the Reedy Branch Cemetery. 

Pallbearers included: Johnny Myers, Jeremy Myers, Terry Myers, Ricky Myers, Lawrence Lott, Brett Myers, Hardy Thrift, Stewart Thrift, Craig Todd, EJ Todd, Jr., and Buddy Worth.
