Dorothy Mae Crosby, age 94, of Douglas, GA, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28th, 2025, at Vista Park Nursing Home and Rehabilitation. She was born on June 6th, 1930, the daughter of Mr. Richard Jewell and Mrs. Sarah Mizel Jewell.
Her Survivors include: One son; Virgil (Karen) Crosby, Two daughters; Ava (Vance Spivey) Crosby and Gretta (Philip) Jowers, Fifteen Grandchildren; Tammy Donaldson, Lavonne Crosby, Nathan Crosby, Nikki Crosby, Jeremy Smith, Brandon Smith, Ryan Smith, Denise Olesiak, Jennifer Crosby, Olivia Haselden, Eric Crosby, Vanna Harper, Kaitlyn Spivey, and Jody Jowers, Fifteen Great-Grandchildren; Jessica Donaldson, Lauren Crosby wood, Dominic Demoron, Alexandria Smith, Kaleb Smith, Slade Smith, Kynlee Smith, Christian Jowers, Jaedyn Taylor, Mason Harper, Alyssa Olesiak, Garrett Olesiak, Cannon White, Braydon White, Gage Hutchinson, Five Great-Great Grandchildren; Braylon Hamilton, Theodore Wood, Natalie Wood, Nadine Wood and Janie May Smith, and Several Step-Grandchilden along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: Father; Richard Jewell, Mother; Sarah Mizel Jewell, Fourteen Siblings, Father of her children; Tom A. Crosby, Daughter; Sue Ellen Crosby, Three Sons; Kyllis Crosby, Talmadge Crosby, and Edison Crosby, One Grandchild; Brandon Jowers, and One Great-Grandchild; Ellyson Shaye Smith.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025, at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 3rd, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in Douglas, GA, at 4:00PM, with Elder Jerry Waldron and Sharon Chancy officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will include: Jason Jewell, Kaleb Smith, Slade Smith, Cannon white, Braydon White, and Keith Jewell.
Honorary Pallbearers will include: Affinis Staff and Vista Park Staff.
