Earlier this month, a Douglas man was arrested and charged with a felony after he allegedly posted an explicit video on social media of a woman without her permission.
On March 1, 2025, a deputy responded to a call to meet a complainant. When the deputy arrived, she met with a female who said that Benny Bolen, 44, of Douglas, had posted the video to Facebook, according to an incident report from the sheriff’s office. She told the officer that she was unaware that Bolen had made the recording and she certainly hadn’t given him permission to post it where people could view it. After the complaint was made, the video was removed.
The deputy was unable to locate Bolen on the day the report was made. However, on March 6, 2025, Bolen was taken into custody and charged with violation of computer pornography and child exploitation prevention act. He was booked into the Coffee County Jail where he remains.
