SGSC draws Angelina College in first round of NJCAA Tournament

The South Georgia State College Hawks are headed back to “Hutch” after winning the GCAA Conference Tournament Championship this past Saturday in Waycross.

SGSC defeated East Georgia State 70-67 to win its third conference tournament title in the last five seasons and an automatic berth into the national tournament played in Hutchinson, Kan.

The Hawks (27-6) enter the tournament as the No. 21 seed and will play the No. 12 Angelina College Roadrunners out of Lufkin, Texas this Sunday, March 23 at 6:30 pm ET.

The NJCAA Tournament will be played March 22-29 at the Hutchinson Sports Arena. All NJCAA tournament games will be streamed live on ESPN+.
