Ernestine Williams, age 88, of Broxton, GA, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, March 17th, 2025. She was born on April 8th, 1936, the daughter of Ira Joe Rogers and Ethel Francis Rogers.
Her survivors include: two daughters; Lisa (Roy) Merritt of Broxton, GA, and Robin (Terry Dale) McLeod of Hawkinsville, GA, four grandchildren; Roy E. Merritt, Shannon (Natasha) Merritt, Brittani (Justin) Grinstead, Mellisa (Bige) Veal, thirteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her beloved husband; Edward Williams, father; Ira Joe Rogers, mother; Ethel Francis Rogers, siblings; Lonnie Joe Rogers, Oswald L. Rogers, Ira J. Rogers Jr., and Lester M. Rogers, and one grandson; David Michael Merritt.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 20th, 2025, from 3:00PM until 4:00PM, at Rocky Creek Church Cemetery, in Broxton, GA.
Funeral Services will be held at Rocky Creek Church, in Broxton, GA, at 4:00PM, with Pastor Blake Westbrook officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Creek Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will include: Shannon A. Merritt, Roy L. Merritt, David M. Merritt Jr., Justin H. Grinstead, Bige P. Veal, and Terry Dale McLeod.
