41-year-old arrested, charged with pedestrian under the influence

St. Patrick’s Day ended with a stint in the Coffee County Jail for a 41-year-old Douglas man, according to a press release from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office.

The release states that on the evening of March 17, 2025, deputies received multiple reports regarding a male who appeared to be intoxicated. They arrived on the scene and, after several attempts were able to make contact with Andrew Taylor, 41, of Douglas.

Upon engaging with Taylor, it became apparent that he was impaired, as he stumbled into one of the deputies. Taylor confessed to having consumed several alcoholic drinks and as a result was arrested, charged with pedestrian under the influence and taken to the Coffee County Jail.
