Mrs. Latrelle Spivey Anderson, age 69, of Douglas, Georgia passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 18, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family following a courageous battle with cancer.
Latrelle was born January 21, 1956, in Douglas, Georgia to the late Clayton Spivey and the late Gladys Corbitt Spivey. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. Her greatest treasures were her family. Along with the love she poured into her family and friends, she will long be remembered with the blooming of the flowers she loved to grow.
Latrelle is survived by her husband, Kenneth Anderson; 2 children: Tammy Seawright (Gary), and Jonathan Watson (Amanda); 2 step children: Tracy Foster (Josh), Jeffrey Anderson (Mellie); 9 grandchildren: Matthew Seawright (Jaycee), Michaela Stevens, Dakota Tift, Jordan Tift (Jacob), Caleb Watson, Jayken Anderson, Gavin Anderson, Dalton Burkett (Chiristyn), Allen Thrift (Summer); 5 great grandchildren: Braelynn Seawright, Haisley McNabb, Lanxston Burkett, Walker Waters, Kayson Thrift; 5 siblings: Donnie Spivey (Ann), Larry Spivey, Howard Spivey (Pam), Vernelle Bennett (Greg), Linda Bennett; along with several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Along with her parents, Latrelle is preceded in death by siblings Lavon Spivey, Quillian Spivey, Shirley Thigpen, and Marie Spivey, and great granddaughter Meliah Jade Stevens.
Latrelle’s graveside funeral and interment was held Saturday afternoon, March 22, 2025 at Jowers Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Gary Seawright and Rev. Byron Griffis officiating. A musical selection of “Shake the Master’s Hand” from the recorded music of the Cady Sisters was played.
Active pallbearers included Jason Bennett, Andrew Bennett, Garrett Bennett, Clay Spivey, Greg Barnes and Jeffery Barnes.
