Last month, a 23-year-old man was arrested and charged after he allegedly exposed himself to employees and customers inside multiple convenience stores in town.

According to a police department report, Willie Stevens, 23, of Douglas, had been going in local convenience stores and exposing himself. February 22, 2025, at 1:46 a.m., an officer stopped by a store. An employee asked if she could speak with him. The employee said that on three different occasions, a man had entered the store “with his penis completely exposed.” She said he had just left prior to the officer arriving. The officer reviewed in-store surveillance footage and saw that what the employee said was accurate. Video showed Stevens walk into the store, pull his penis out of his pants, and walk around the store with it completely exposed.

The officer confirmed two of the three incidents. He also saw what kind of vehicle Stevens was driving – a beige Mercury Grand Marquis. He informed other officers on shift about the incident and they began looking for Stevens.

Officers found Stevens around 2 a.m. at another store. They spotted his vehicle and he had not gotten out yet. An officer asked him to step out then placed him under arrest. Officers also found a substance in his vehicle that they believed to be crack cocaine.

Stevens was charged with five counts of public indecency and possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance. He was transported to the Coffee County Jail.
