Margaret Jane Rowell Lankford, age 80, of Broxton, GA, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at her residence following an extended illness. Ms. Lankford was born on November 28, 1944 in Irwin County, GA, to the late Thomas Rowell and Lillie Goff Rowell.
Survivors include: two daughters; Samantha Ann Lankford of Broxton, GA, Amanda Caroline (Ottie) Lankford of Broxton, GA, three grandchildren; David Scott Woods (Colleen) of Broxton, GA, Lauren Elizabeth Mercer (Nik) of Broxton, GA, Alaina Marie Lankford of Broxton, GA, one brother; Charles Rowell (Denise). Ms. Lankford was preceded in death by her beloved husband; Carlos Lankford, parents; Thomas & Lillie Rowell, one sister; Verma Hansford, and one son; Carlos Anthony Lankford.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 31, 2025, form 6:00pm until 9:00pm, at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 11:00am, at Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Courson and Rev. Tim Mock officiating. The interment will follow at the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be: John Rowell, Clay Deen, Bret Vanetta, Daniel Waldron, Reed Waldron, and Connor Waldron.
Sims Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
