Mr. David Bobby Davis, Jr., 65, of Douglas, GA, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born on November 2, 1959, to the late Gwendolyn Spivey Davis and late Bobby Davis, also of Douglas, GA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Debra Ann Davis.

A native of Coffee County, Mr. Davis worked as a clinical laboratory scientist for over 30 years before his retirement. He was a devoted husband and father, known for his sense of humor, love of the outdoors and farming, and strong work ethic. Mr. Davis attended Cornerstone Church of God of Prophecy in Douglas.

Survivors include: His loving wife of 47 years, Donna Kay Davis of Douglas; daughter, Bobbie Davonna Davis-Johns and son-in-law, Lee Johns, of Douglas; nephews: John Davis of Douglas, GA and Travis Davis of Alma, GA; niece, Amanda Davis of Douglas, GA; several other nieces, nephews, Cousins and many friends

A graveside service and interment was held at Elam Harper Cemetery on Friday, May 2, 2025 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Matthew McEachern officiating.

Active pallbearers included: Hunter James, Jeffery Smith, Henry Reliford, Richard James, John Davis, and Toby Patterson.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to Cornerstone Church of God of Prophecy in Douglas.

Condolences, kind words, and fond memories may be shared with Mr. Davis’ family at www.ricketsonfuneralhome.com.

Mr. Davis’ arrangements were entrusted to the kind and compassionate staff of Ricketson Funeral Home, Inc. of Douglas, Georgia.
