Goddin Roland McNeese, a beloved father, grandfather, son and brother, left us peacefully in his home in Douglas, GA. He was 58 years old.

Roland is survived by his son, Tyler McNeese of Douglas, daughter, Kyndal (Logan) Overstreet of Waynesboro, MS. He was a proud grandfather to Gague McNeese, who brought him immense joy and laughter. He is also survived by his mother, Connie Williams McNeese of Douglas, GA, two sisters, Angie (Donald) Jones of Douglas, GA, Freda (Greg) Graham of Douglas, GA, along with several nieces and nephews.

Roland was born on January 14th, 1967 the son of Bobby Roland McNeese and Connie Williams McNeese. He graduated from Broxton High School where he laid his foundation of hard work and dedication. For over 33 years, he was a valued associate of Walmart Distribution canter, where his commitment and work ethics earned him respect of colleagues.

Roland’s greatest joy came from his love for his family. He cherished every moment with his loved ones, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 10th, 2025 at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, from 12:00PM until 2:00PM. A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 10th, 2025 at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, at 2:00PM with Rev. Kevin Bounds and Craig Jump officiating. Interment will follow at DeBerry Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will include: Sid Adams, Bo Dockery, Bryan Ellis, Jamie Merritt, Arsemie Minor and Justin Stone.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
