Johnnie Mae Grantham, age 81, of Pearson, GA, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 9th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 25th, 1943, the daughter of Jimmy Arnold and Matilda Spivey Arnold.

Mrs. Grantham was born in Douglas, GA, in the Fales area. Later, in 1972, she moved to Gainesville with her family. There she and her beloved husband raised two daughters and worked in the poultry industry for thirty plus years. After she retired, she moved back to Pearson, GA, where she enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

Her survivors include: two daughters, Laura Jean Salter of Pearson, GA and Glenda Johnson of Strawberry Plains, TN; six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one brother; Larry Arnold of West Palm Beach, FL, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her beloved husband; Donald Grantham, father; Jimmy Arnold, mother; Matilda Spivey Arnold, four brothers; T.J. Arnold, Allen Arnold, Hubert Arnold and Herbert Arnold, and one grandson; Matthew Clark.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 12th, 2025, at Jowers Chapel, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 12th, 2025, at Jowers Chapel, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Leroy Spivey officiating. Interment will follow at Tanner Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will include: Michael Chaney, Cole Chaney, Andrew Lemus, Josh Freeman, Kenny Arnold, and Steve Whitley.

Honorary pallbearers will include: Donovan Batten, Jason Clark, Kalem Batten, Joshua Clark, Gabriel Lemus, and Mason Batten.

All friends and family are welcome to attend the services, and prayers are appreciated.
