A 31-year-old who was stopped for allegedly riding a bicycle on the sidewalk on McNeil Drive was found to have two active warrants, one of which was from Orlando, and was jailed as a result.

A report from the Douglas Police Department states that on April 28 at around 10:30 p.m., a male identified as Shekinah Leggett, 31, was stopped for riding a bicycle on the sidewalk. The report says he was riding his bike east on the sidewalk on McNeil Drive. One of Leggett’s warrants was through the Douglas Police Department. The other was through the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in Orlando. Officials in Orange County wanted a hold placed on Leggett with a fugitive from justice warrant, the report says.

Leggett was arrested on the warrants and taken to the Coffee County Jail.
