The next Cancer Support Group Meeting, hosted by Coffee Regional Medical Center, will take place on Tuesday, May 20 at 5:30 p.m. on the 2nd floor of the 200 Doctors Building.

This month’s session features Hallie Brigmond, PA-C from Georgia Dermatology & Skin Cancer, LLC, who will lead an informative discussion on skin cancer awareness. Hallie will cover early warning signs, common risk factors, and available treatment options, empowering attendees to make informed decisions about their skin health.

“Skin is the body’s largest organ and plays a vital role in protecting us,” said Brigmond. “Understanding how to care for it and recognize changes is key to early detection and prevention.”

The meeting is open to all individuals affected by cancer—patients, survivors, caregivers, and community members.

Upcoming Support Group Events:

  • June 17: Karla Chaney, RN – A personal journey with Chronic Lymphoid Leukemia
  • July 15: Support Group Social – A time for conversation and connection
  • August 19: Bonnie Whitfield – The role of nutrition in cancer support
