On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, Lindan Defour was honored with the Student of Excellence Award by Roxie Tumlin from the South Central GLRS.

This prestigious award, presented by the Georgia Department of Education, Division for Special Education Services and Supports, recognizes one outstanding high school senior from each GLRS region school for their exceptional academic and/or extracurricular achievements.

Lindan’s recognition reflects not only his hard work and determination but also the unwavering support of his family, teachers, and the CHS staff as evident by the kind words spoken by Kelly Mizell, CHS Referral Coordinator; Kristi Joyner, CHS Entrepreneurial Venture Teacher; Brittany Sams, CHS Advanced Composition Teacher; Van Allen, CHS Principal; and Dr. Morris Leis, Coffee County School Superintendent.
