Francis Eloise Kirkland, age 91, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at her residence. Mrs. Kirkland was born on October 24, 1933, in Douglas, GA to the late Aaron Ellis and the late Lois Revels Ellis.

Survivors include: two daughters; Linda Faye Deal of Douglas, GA and Patricia Ann Adams of Douglas, GA, two bonus daughters; Patricia (Johnny) Stansfield and Pam Kirkland, three grandchildren; Kristi Ruelas, Timothy Batten, and Ericalin Deal, two bonus grandchildren; Joy Stansfield, and Brent Stansfield, six great grandchildren; Bryanna Anderson, Timothy Ashley Batten, Shawn Ruelas, Janie Batten, Makayla Ruelas and Paigeann Stover, five great-great grandchildren; Ryan Anderson, Dustin Anderson, Hunter Anderson, McKenzie Anderson and Addi Anderson, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by: two husbands, Walter Kirkland and Elton Boykin, father; Aaron Ellis, mother; Lois Revels Ellis, two brothers; Johnny Ellis and Aaron Ellis Jr., and bonus daughter; Ann Nagode.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, from 6 PM until 8 PM at Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025, at First Baptist Church, at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Don Hattaway and Rev. Cliff Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow at the City of Douglas Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will include: Timmy Batten, Timothy Anderson, Eddie Chaney, Ryan Anderson, Shawn Ruelas, and Brent Stansfield.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests all donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Sims Funeral Home, Douglas, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
