South Georgia State College (SGSC) is proud to welcome Dustin Montgomery, a recent graduate of the Georgia Public Safety Training Center (GPSTC)-Tifton Police Academy Session 352 and newly certified police officer, to the SGSC Campus Police Department.

A native of Atkinson County, Montgomery is a graduate of Atkinson County High School and Okefenokee Technical College. Prior to pursuing a career in law enforcement, he worked for over a decade at the local Walmart Distribution Center, where he served as both an associate and a manager.

Montgomery is also a dedicated father of three daughters. His commitment to hard work, leadership, and service makes him a valuable addition to the SGSC law enforcement team.

“As time changes, so do your opportunities,” Montgomery said. “It’s a pleasure to have been welcomed aboard to our SGSC campus, and I look forward to growing and furthering my career here with my fellow officers to serve our staff, students, and our community with the utmost integrity and respect.”

The SGSC Police Department is excited to welcome Officer Montgomery and is confident in the strength and professionalism he brings to the team.

“Officer Montgomery’s background and dedication to service reflect the values we uphold at South Georgia State College,” said SGSC Interim President Dr. Greg Tanner. “We’re proud to welcome him to the SGSC family and appreciate his commitment to keeping our campus community safe.”
