Most traffic-related illegal drug arrests take place late at night. This one, however, happened much earlier. On June 4, 2025, at around 10:15 a.m., Broxton police officers stopped a vehicle on George Deen Road near the Broxton cemetery and discovered a quantity of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana.

According to an incident report from the Broxton Police Department, officers stopped a 2007 Nissan Sentra. The driver, identified as Johnny Alexander Davis, 34, of Broxton, gave officers his consent to search the vehicle. During the search, officers found two containers that contained suspected methamphetamine and marijuana. Davis was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana – less than one ounce. He was transported to the Coffee County Jail.

A passenger in the Sentra was released without being charged.
