SGSC welcomes Chelsea Preston Graham as Assistant Director of Advancement and Annual Fund

South Georgia State College is pleased to announce Chelsea Preston Graham as its new Assistant Director of Advancement and Annual Fund. She will oversee the daily operations of the South Georgia State College Foundation and work with the Foundation’s Board of Trustees to secure funding for student scholarships and other college programs and initiatives. This role involves fundraising, managing the Foundation’s scholarship program, donor relations, and community engagement.

“I am excited to welcome Chelsea to our Advancement team,” said Taylor Hereford, Director of Advancement and Waycross Campus. “Chelsea has deep roots in Douglas-Coffee County, which will serve her very well as she engages with students, families, alumni, faculty, staff, board members, and the community to advance SGSC’s mission.”

Prior to joining SGSC, Chelsea served as Member Relations Director at Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations from Valdosta State University (VSU). Prior to VSU, she attended South Georgia State College where she studied communications.

“I am elated to join such an esteemed staff and faculty,” said Chelsea. “As a former student, I look forward to working at SGSC and assisting the team to enhance fundraising efforts and strengthen relationships with the college’s partners and supporters. It’s rewarding to step into this role and help other students like myself change the trajectory of their lives through higher education.” The South Georgia State College Foundation is a cooperative 501c3 organization of South Georgia State College. The Foundation provides scholarship assistance to SGSC students and supports the college through various programs and initiatives outside of state appropriations.
