Paul Carroll Jowers, age 82, of Douglas, GA, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross, GA following an extended illness. Mr. Jowers was born on October 18, 1942, in Coffee County, GA, to the late Dennis Jowers and Eva Carver Jowers.

Survivors include: one son; Dewey (Carrie) Jowers of Douglas, GA, two grandchildren; Dewey Jowers Jr., and Nicholas Jowers, and several other grandchildren, three step children; Pat Guthrie, Jackie Spivey, and Stanley O’Steen, two brothers; Henry (Linda) Jowers, and John Allen Jowers, along with several nieces and nephews. Mr. Jowers was preceded in death by: four sisters; Evelyn King, Betty McKinnon, Julia Hutcheson, and Ethel Davis, four brothers; Thomas Jowers, Richard Jowers, Ira Jowers, and Charlie Jowers. He was also preceeded in death by his two wives, Carolyn (Brigmond) Jowers, and Dorothy (O’Steen) Jowers.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sims Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Rocky Pond Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Jordan, Rev. Dewayne Jowers, and Rev. Eric Warren officiating. The interment will follow the service at Rocky Pond Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will include: Brandon Wilkerson, Brant Spivey, Connor Spivey, Lane Merritt, Sean Brigmond, and Arlen McKinnon.

Honorary pallbearers will include: Henry Hersey, Harry and Frances Smith, Billy Denton and Martha Denton.
