Ms. Rebecca “Becky” Louise Tanner Reyes, age 59, of Douglas, Georgia passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following a period of declining health.
Becky was born June 6, 1966 in Moultrie, Georgia to the late Ernest Tanner and the late Louise Stone Tanner. She was a homemaker, a loving mother and Nana, who enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking for them and fishing. She was a member of Cornerstone Church of God of Prophecy, was very community oriented and loved to sing.
Becky leaves behind 2 children she loved dearly, her daughter Santana Whitley and husband Wade, of Douglas Georgia, and her son, Adam Iglesias and wife Trellis, of West Green, Georgia; 4 grandchildren who were precious to her, Sebastian Iglesias, Emily Ivey, Cooper Iglesias, and Rayles Whitley. She is also survived by a brother and 3 sisters: Mitchell Tanner, Betty Joe T. Moore, Fairlee T. Rojas, all of Douglas, Georgia, and Evie T. Day of Waycross, Georgia; as well as her Cornerstone Church Family.
Along with her parents, Becky was preceded in death by a sister, Jo Ann T. Weathers, and 2 brothers: Melvin Tanner and Floyd Tanner.
Memorialization will be by cremation and a memorial service honoring Becky’s life will be held on Tuesday afternoon, June 24, 2025 at 1:30 PM at Cornerstone Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Matthew McEachern officiating. Her family will receive friends at the church from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM prior to the service.
