A Nicholls man has been arrested and charged with vehicular homicide and other alleged violations as a result of a fatal traffic accident that took place around 8:15 a.m. on December 9, 2024.

According to an accident report from the Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened when a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Tyler Keith Graham, 31, of Nicholls, turned left on to Highway 32 off of Roberts Cemetery Road just east of Nicholls. Jamie Thomas Wrinn, 50, of Alma, was driving west on Highway 32 operating a Honda WW150 motorcycle near Roberts Cemetery Road. The report says that Graham failed to yield to Wrinn and the two vehicles collided. The area of impact was in the eastbound lane of Highway 32.

In the report, Graham stated that he stopped at the stop sign and looked both ways before entering Highway 32. He didn’t see anything and thought it was safe to make the turn. He heard the Honda braking and then the collision took place.

Winn was ejected from the motorcycle. He did not survive the accident.

The Georgia State Patrol’s Special Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT) has been investigating the accident since it happened. SCRT members sent the final report to Georgia State Patrol Post 36 in Douglas. Troopers took the warrants against Graham. He was arrested Monday, June 30, 2025, and charged with vehicular homicide in the second degree, failure to yield right of way, and failure to use safety restraints. He was booked into the Coffee County Jail.
