South Georgia State College has recently updated its standard operating hours to better meet the needs of students, families, and the community. Effective immediately, SGSC offices will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the Douglas and Waycross campuses.

This change is designed to enhance accessibility and improve the overall experience for anyone needing to connect with college departments or access campus services. Whether it’s academic advising, admissions, financial aid, or student support, SGSC’s updated hours offer more availability for both in-person and phone inquiries.

“We are committed to being responsive and accessible,” said Dr. Greg Tanner, Interim President of SGSC. “Our new hours reflect our continued focus on providing timely service and making it easier for students and community members to get the assistance they need — when they need it.”

The schedule supports busy students balancing work, family, and school responsibilities, as well as parents, dual enrollment partners, and community members who rely on SGSC’s services.

Students are encouraged to visit during business hours or schedule appointments in advance. Information and resources are also available 24/7 through the college’s website at www.sgsc.edu.
